Mother Mother

The bloody brilliant anomaly that is Mother Mother.  They are one of my favorite all times.

Recently in Victoria, they played the Royal Theatre, and by a combination of right-place-right-time, determination and excitement, I ended up shooting the concert for CVVMagazine. Laser beams, light shows and the best of their best, it was a nice re-intro to shooting concerts – something I haven’t done for quite a number of years (and back then, without the luxury of the digital age.) While I was reminded of how challenging it can be with the light changing every milli-second, the fast moves of the performers and laser beams cutting across faces and bodies, I couldn’t have been happier. As I walked up the aisle in an attempt to beat the crowds at the end, fans going wild, photo gear strapped all over me, I smiled to myself. Life is pretty cool. With a constantly busy, crazy, full-on schedule, this is exactly what this Body of Years needed.

*I also need to mention that Hannah Georgas, another fave, was touring with Mother Mother. I was very disappointed to miss her, but alas, the media pass only covers so much!
